Parent/Guardian Notification

Parents and guardians of LEP students are notified of their children's eligibility to participate in District #205's various ELL programs at the beginning of each academic year.

After ACCESS testing, parents are notified of their children's performance and the status of their eligibility to continue receiving services, or of their functional fluency and completion of the program. At that point, students may cease to receive services.

District #205 staff work to keep the door open to communication with parents of ELLs by organizing events specifically for LEP parents and guardians, and offering translation or interpretive services when possible.
