Public Health Info May 18 2018Parents, Students and Staff:

The Knox County Health Department has made a diagnosis of confirmed pulmonary tuberculosis at Galesburg High School. We have been informed that those students and staff members who had prolonged contact with the confirmed case are required to have a Mantoux tuberculin skin test. Prolonged contact is defined as one (1) hour a day, five (5) days a week.

If it is determined you or your child is in need of a Mantoux tuberculin skin test, you will have received this notice AND an additional notice. Those affected will be contacted by phone personally. This will affect a very small percentage of individuals.

If you have any questions, please contact your primary care physician or the Knox County Health Department (309) 344-2224.
