On the morning of Tuesday, August 20th, the staff members at Silas Willard elementary were set to begin their day when a thunderstorm came through Galesburg causing the building to lose power a few other unfortunate events to occur right as school was set to begin.
The Galesburg CUSD #205 Central Office Administration wanted to show their appreciation to the staff for how they handled the power outage last week. The teachers and staff of Silas Willard remained calm and professional as they helped guide and calm students as they were welcomed into the building. Cookies were delivered on Thursday, August 22 by Dr. John Asplund, District #205 Superintendent, for the staff to enjoy.
Thank you!
